I’m an achiever who outgrew my initial vision of success.
I sent two+ decades as an executive in the investment world. I was successful by traditional definitions–business, reputation, financial. In later years, my values began to feel out of sync. My celebrated strengths felt like weaknesses. It felt lonely.
Who could I talk to when I had what we all aspired to?
Coaches were my guides. I clarified my values, strengths and story. When I brought these learnings into my work, I had more fun and success. There wasn’t a professional me and a personal me–there was just me! In later years, the environment changed around me and the signal was clear. It was time to find (or build) the right new environment for ME.
So I ventured.
I left my job without knowing my next steps. It was time to redefine my version of success. To make an impact. To invest all of my gifts–talent, time and money–towards it. Being clear on my values, strengths and story, I packed my curiosity and jumped into action–connecting with people. Learning. Traveling. Writing. Global volunteering. Finding new impactful ways to invest my money.
