Success Coaching

Coaching is an impactful investment in yourself. The coaching secret? The best coaches hone their expertise through their own experiences.

In 2003, I hired a coach. I felt stuck and wanted to transition my career after 12 years with the same company. My biggest lesson? There’s not a personal story and a professional story. There’s one story. This was the first time I needed to rewrite my story and my version of success.

My next 12 years brought new challenges: Leading a high-growth investment business in a male-dominated industry. Managing people and peers. Finding my connective strategic thinking at odds with the more linear approach of a new boss. Beginning to question myself. Feelings of loneliness. Sensing my values slipping out of alignment.

I knew it was time to again rewrite my story. My version of success. To figure out what impact I really wanted to make in my life.

These challenges and feelings might feel familiar. We don’t talk about them at work. Or with our spouse or family or friends. My coaches helped me feel less alone; they introduced me to practical tools I use every day.

As a Success Coach, I guide mid-career achievers to rewrite their story and amplify their impact.

I help people define and feel confident in their combined personal/professional story. To be clear on their values and strengths so all they do builds around them. To define success on their terms. To get clear on what impact they wish to make and map out a plan to invest in it. Sometimes it’s a life refinement. Sometimes the process opens up a whole new path of career and life possibilities.

My coaching philosophy builds on the work of Simon Sinek and Start With Why. I help individuals better define their WHY to maximize their impact. They become better storytellers. And to be champions of our ideas and organizations, we have to master our stories.

If you are ready to venture, let’s jump on a 30 minute call. Should we mutually decide that it makes sense to work together, we outline key goals and an accountability plan. A typical engagement lasts 3-4 months, with one 60 minute video call every two weeks. Following each session, I suggest resources and homework; I make myself available via email for questions and feedback. While we use assessment tools like StrengthFinders, we work together to achieve practical, visible results.

Perhaps you are further along in your journey and just need a partner to help amplify your story. Consider a quick LinkedIn Bootcamp.
